About Batchelor Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
Batchelor Air Conditioning & Refrigeration designs, installs, services and repairs home air conditioning. Based in Olney with a second office in Barnstaple, it offers domestic maintenance plans, water-cooled systems and air-to-air heat pumps, and advertises UK-wide service.
Batchelor began trading in 1991, became a limited company in 2001 and opened its Barnstaple office in 2020.
Homeowners can request a free assessment and quotation for a tailored air conditioning plan. Domestic servicing and maintenance plans are available, and installers provide guidance on using and maintaining the equipment. The company describes its repair technicians as fully qualified.
Maintenance checks cover filters, coils, drains, refrigerant levels, airflow and electrical components. The repair service advertises 24/7 emergency call-outs and repairs to single-split, multi-split and VRF systems.
Water-cooled units are offered for homes and apartments where an outdoor condenser is unsuitable. These systems use the building’s water supply; running costs depend on usage and water rates.
The domestic page advertises finance through Origin Finance, allowing installation costs to be spread through monthly payments.
For commercial installations, Batchelor names Mitsubishi Electric, Midea, LG, Daikin and Fujitsu. Its specifically advertised commercial system types include single-split, multi-split, VRF and ducted systems.
