Coldtech Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

About Coldtech Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Coldtech Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is based in Middlesbrough and installs home air conditioning across the North East and Yorkshire. It also services and repairs domestic systems, with free site surveys and system design available for installations.

Residential installation surveys are free and carried out with the installation team, with a quotation advertised for the following day. Maintenance packages are tailored to each client's needs.

Published warranty terms provide parts-only cover, with diagnostic and repair labour charged separately. Annual maintenance by the company that supplied the product is required; unauthorised repairs or alterations are excluded.

Office hours are stated as 9–5, with engineers on call 24/7. Customers whose out-of-hours calls are unanswered are asked to leave a message. The warranty claims service department lists hours of 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

Coldtech is a family business that began trading in the 1980s, initially specialising in refrigeration. It describes its engineers as F-Gas certified and DBS cleared, and states that the business is Achilles registered.

Company-published domestic customer accounts describe a floor-standing conservatory installation and two Daikin units installed at a home in 2021.
