About HPE Airflow SW Ltd
HPE Airflow SW Ltd designs, installs, services and repairs home air conditioning across Plymouth and the South West. Electrical work, commissioning and testing are handled in house. Its main range is Daikin, with Mitsubishi, Toshiba and Hitachi also offered.
Free surveys assess the rooms to be covered and include room-specific running-cost estimates. The Daikin installation page offers a fixed written price before work begins. The company's own electrician handles the electrical work, with commissioning and testing included; it states NICEIC Approved Contractor number D602867.
Servicing and repairs cover installations by the company and other installers. Annual servicing is recommended for domestic systems, with shorter intervals near the coast. The Daikin page states that annual servicing is a manufacturer warranty condition and that the company can register manufacturer warranties directly.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am–8pm, Saturday 8am–4pm and Sunday 9am–1pm.
Alan Carruthers runs the business and has more than 20 years of trade experience, including 15 years working on heat pumps. He holds heat pump installation and design qualifications. The company states Daikin certified installer reference CI35, Gas Safe registration 221881 and WaterSafe approval.
A documented installation at a 1980s semi-detached Plymouth home combined a Daikin Multi+ five-port system with two Emura wall units, a landing ceiling cassette and a 230-litre hot-water cylinder. The project also included a consumer-unit upgrade with RCD protection.
