About I-HT Air Conditioning
I-HT Air Conditioning installs, maintains and repairs home air conditioning from its base in Wakes Colne, Colchester. It offers heating and cooling systems for individual rooms and multiple spaces, with free site surveys and tailored system design.
Free, no-obligation surveys assess the property's requirements before a system is recommended. The installation process includes assessment of space, insulation and layout, a detailed quotation, performance testing and a demonstration of the controls.
A five-year warranty covers air conditioning units and installation workmanship, conditional on an I-HT engineer servicing each unit annually. Outright purchase and rental purchase options are advertised.
Tailored maintenance contracts include annual visits for homes, with prices advertised from £85 plus VAT. The company services all makes and models, including systems installed by other companies; these may need a functionality check before servicing. It recommends at least one service per year and advises when more frequent visits are needed.
Servicing includes cleaning filters, coils and casings, checking condensate drains and pump operation, testing system functions and recording heating and cooling temperatures. Outdoor-unit work includes debris removal, coil cleaning and condenser inspection.
Installers are directly employed and DBS checked. I-HT describes its engineers as F-Gas certified and states that the company is Safe Contractor approved, ISO 9001:2015 accredited and Trading Standards Approved.
A documented Essex home installation fitted a wall-mounted bedroom unit to address overheating in south-facing rooms, with the outdoor condenser on the adjacent external wall. The company also offers installations in flats and rented accommodation, recommending that the required permissions are obtained.
Published opening hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:30–17:30, and Friday, 08:30–17:00.
