About iCool
Established in 2009, iCool is a family business designing and installing air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump systems for homes and businesses across York, Selby and surrounding Yorkshire towns. It also provides planned maintenance for its own and third-party installations, plus emergency repairs.
The design process begins with a consultation about the proposed heating or cooling solution. Domestic designs consider appearance, noise, controls and cost, with concealed ceiling units among the available options.
Installations carry a stated minimum three-year warranty, extendable to seven years for certain products. Bespoke planned maintenance packages cover iCool installations and systems installed by others; iCool says maintenance helps uphold installation warranties.
Yorkshire domestic projects include a floor-mounted bedroom system in a period home with low eaves and a wall-mounted single-split system in a garden room. Its Hathaway House project in London included concealed air conditioning in 59 apartments, with only linear grilles visible.
Managing director Alex began his engineering career in 1999 and gained heating, ventilation, air conditioning and F-Gas qualifications by 2003, before establishing iCool Limited in 2009. The company states that it is CHAS accredited and an approved installer for Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba and Daikin.
Emergency repair support is advertised nationwide. Engineers carry spare parts to enable same-day repairs where possible. Commercial projects include Samsung air conditioning for a 90-bedroom hotel and a VRV installation for an office extension.
