About McAlpine Grant Ilco
McAlpine Grant Ilco is an independent air conditioning company based in Eynsham, serving homes across Oxfordshire and nearby towns. It installs Midea, Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric equipment and provides domestic servicing, repairs and planned maintenance.
The independently run company reports more than 25 years of trading. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00; closed Saturday and Sunday.
Single wall-mounted split installations can be priced through the online quote tool using property details, room size, unit position and pipework distance. Online quotes are based on a 10-mile radius of the Eynsham office. Multi-room and more complex jobs receive a survey and tailored quotation, with home or virtual surveys available. Customers have one contact throughout installation.
Standard domestic installation includes indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant pipework, electrical connections, drainage and commissioning. Condensate pumps, internal wall routing and longer pipe runs may cost extra, with additions detailed in the quotation.
The domestic maintenance plan provides scheduled servicing, priority breakdown callouts and reduced repair rates, paid annually in advance. The company also services equipment installed by other firms. It recommends annual servicing for summer cooling use and six-monthly servicing for year-round heating and cooling.
Service visits include filter cleaning, checks of indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant levels, electrical connections, controls, drainage and pipework. A service report is supplied. Domestic repair visits include diagnosis and an explanation of the fault before repairs begin.
The company states that its engineers hold F-Gas qualifications and that it holds approved installer status with Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric. It also reports BESCA Competent Person Scheme membership, with compliance certificates supplied for relevant installation work, plus Acclaim and CHAS accreditation, ISO 14001 certification and ISO 9001:2015 certification; the latter is stated to be valid until 2028.
Commercial services include air conditioning design and installation, including VRF systems, and refrigeration installation, servicing, repairs and maintenance. Commercial ventilation design and installation covers MVHR, heat recovery ventilation units and air handling units. Domestic refrigeration appliances are excluded.
