About North East Air Conditioning
North East Air Conditioning is a family-run business based in Wallsend, operating since 2005. It designs, installs, maintains and repairs home air conditioning across the North East, including wall-mounted splits, multi-split systems and ducted cooling for whole-home projects.
The family-run business dates from 2005 and uses employed engineers rather than subcontractors. It states that its engineers are DBS-checked and hold F-Gas Category 1 qualifications.
Opening hours are Monday–Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 9am–4pm, with Sunday reserved for emergency callouts.
The domestic survey involves a roughly 30-minute visit, room measurements and a written recommendation within 48 hours. The domestic installation page specifies free surveys within 15 miles of Wallsend and £50 plus VAT beyond, refundable against installation. Advertised prices are starting figures; the final price and work-specific terms are supplied in the quotation and contract.
Single-room installations typically take 4–6 hours; multi-room installations usually take 1–3 days. Ducted systems are offered for new builds and major refurbishments, with designs coordinated with the customer's builder or architect.
The company advertises manufacturer-backed warranties of at least five years on installations and ten years on Midea systems, registered on installation day. Its servicing page states that annual servicing is required to maintain Daikin, Mitsubishi and Toshiba multi-year warranties.
Home maintenance plans start at £14 per month per indoor unit for homes with one or two units. They include annual servicing, filter cleaning, refrigerant pressure checks, condensate flushing, electrical testing, priority repair booking and 10% off parts or repairs outside warranty. Plans can be cancelled at any time. The company also services equipment installed by others.
For Durham homes in listed buildings or conservation areas, the company offers careful outdoor-unit positioning, colour-matched trunking and liaison with Durham County Council where needed. It describes residential multi-split and ducted work in Gosforth and Wide Open, and wall-mounted installations in Durham and Sunderland homes.
The repair and servicing offering names Midea, Toshiba, Daikin, Bosch, Samsung, LG, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Electric, including equipment installed by other firms.
Commercial services separately include VRF, cassette and ducted installations for offices, retail, hospitality and server rooms, with out-of-hours fitting. The commercial supply page lists Midea, Toshiba, Daikin, Bosch, Samsung, LG and Mitsubishi and states Midea Pro Partner status.
