About PRA Air Conditioning
PRA Air Conditioning is a family-run business supplying and installing home air conditioning across England and Wales, including Birmingham and the West Midlands. It provides system design, free surveys, maintenance, cleaning and repairs, with a choice of fixed systems and portable units.
Home installations start with a free survey and tailored quotation. The installation process includes unit positioning, pipework and wiring, testing and an operating demonstration. Most installations take one to two days, depending on the system and property layout.
Free virtual surveys are available with a technical and design engineer using a compatible smartphone or tablet. Out-of-hours appointments can be arranged.
Domestic maintenance contracts and tailored servicing packages are available. Maintenance includes filter cleaning or replacement when needed, refrigerant and leak checks, function checks, and inspection of electrical connections, insulation and drains.
PRA services and repairs equipment installed by other companies. It advertises a 24-hour emergency response service; its repairs page specifies rapid breakdown support for existing domestic and commercial clients.
Published working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–10pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9am–2pm. The telephone helpline is separately advertised as available 24/7.
PRA states that its engineers are F-Gas certified. Their servicing knowledge includes single-split, multi-split and VRV systems. Managing director Paul is described as a technical engineer with more than 40 years of air conditioning and refrigeration experience.
Domestic equipment includes products from both Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. CIAT and Pump House portable units are also listed for supply.
For commercial offices, PRA additionally advertises Hitachi equipment. Its Mitsubishi City VRF products are listed for commercial premises.
