About The Air Conditioning Company
The Air Conditioning Company installs, maintains and repairs air conditioning for homes and flats across Greater London and the Home Counties. Domestic options include wall-mounted, ducted and low wall-mounted units. The business also sells and hires portable air conditioners.
Established in 1986, the business trades through Airconco (UK) Ltd and has a showroom in Mill Hill East where customers can view working air conditioning units.
New-installation quotations and eligible site surveys are free. For flats and apartments, written installation permission from the managing agent, freeholder or other relevant authority is required before a free survey. A survey before permission costs £240 plus VAT, refundable against an installation with the company. Surveys may be declined where a property is outside the service area or the proposed work is unsuitable.
Surveyors discuss equipment options and provide brochures and pictures. Ducted installations can be planned alongside an architect or builder to accommodate concealed equipment. Evening and weekend installations are available at additional cost, and drawings and technical information can be supplied to support permission applications.
Tailored planned preventative maintenance programmes come with a written scope and price quotation. Servicing includes cleaning indoor and outdoor units, checking operation and flushing drain lines. The company recommends one annual visit for residential cooling-only use and at least two for combined heating and cooling. The FAQ describes installation warranty cover of up to ten years, conditional on regular servicing by its engineers: the first three years cover parts and labour, and the remaining seven cover spare parts.
The company services and repairs systems installed by others and advertises a 12-month repair warranty. Written approval quotations precede parts orders or repairs. Temporary portable cooling can be arranged while replacement parts or equipment are awaited.
The company claims D1+ Premium Daikin contractor approval for split and Sky Air supply and installation, Fujitsu installer approval and Gree distributor and installer registration. Its FAQ states that all engineers hold F-Gas certificates.
